👍 Getting more insight on backlinks

Yesterday we told you how backlinks are going to start losing their importance (one day?), but until then, they are still important. Tim Suolo tweeted a big thumbs up to the updated ahrefs Link Report pages. You can now filter by:

  • 1. Follow / no follow / User generated content and sponsored

  • 2. Filter out the weak links

  • 3. Filter out any other metric or variable

  • 4. See which pages gained or lost the most links in a given period

  • 5. Preview ref domains and links in a quick drop down.

📨 IgnitePOST - send hand written mail to your users

Here's a fun fact: ignitePOST says that 99% of handwritten direct mail gets opened. And  yes, direct mail works for #SaaS companies. SEMrush started using direct mail at the start of Covid, and liked its attribution "the best". So definitely something to consider as an option. Let's get into some details: 

  • No, the mail is not really handwritten. But the robots that write your note use real link, and the handwriting "changes" across words, so it feels handwritten. Ignitepost has 12 different handwriting styles available.

  • The system can be integrated into lots of CRMs and platforms (Hubspot, Zapier, Salesforce etc), and you can get very clever with it. Example: send a thank you note when a user first signs up, when they renew, when they add a team member, when they refer 5 people etc etc.

Cost: You can sign up for a subscription, which starts at $89 for 25 notes, or you can do a pay-as-you-go plan which starts at $1.99 per note.
